Cover sheet vignette from 1916 drawing set for Mr. Vosburgh.
Interior living/dining room. Vosburgh House. This hybrid living/dining space predates the common public space of the Usonian House (in contrast to distinct dining + living spaces of the Prairie House - John Sargeant) and includes built-in shelving and seating along the west windows with ample daylight for reading.
Nancy, Toji and me at the fireplace.
View of entry. Refer to overhang at Queen Anne House in Oak Park (June 13).
View along north facade. Distant volume was originally an open patio space, but was subsequently enclosed and currently serves as a bedroom.
Bagley Summer Home. Aside from some window detailing and consistent overhangs, the exterior is relatively fortified to register any good views.
Overlooking Lake Michigan in the midst of mist.
A third fluorescent caution man found.
Composition in Grand Beach along Lake Shore Drive. Lake Shore drive encompasses a series of small political subdivisions, relating to a former bus route that ran along the lake.
View of mist from Lake Michigan at Indiana Dunes National Park. Due to human traffic at the south face of the dunes, the sand is moving at an alarming 15 feet per year, compared to 3-4 feet in previous years. The Park almost didn't open this year in order to plant grasses to suspend the dune's movement since it rapidly approaches State Rte 12. This was the most pure natural experience of the trip to date.
I had never seen a 4-story A-frame before. Had to stop. (not by FLW).
Law offices (not by FLW). Good siting pulled elevator and access core away from the road.
