In just over a month I'll begin a bike trip across the United States, starting at the Penfield House in Willoughby Hills, OH (see below), ending in Cody, Wyoming at the Blair Home.
The goal will be to raise $10,800, the cost of 3 Constru Casa houses. This equates to 1 house for each 10 days +/- of cycling, the same same rate at which Guatemalan master masons construct homes.
While raising money, I also wish to raise awareness about the poetics of minimal dwelling through photography and writing, using Frank Lloyd Wright's Usonian home as the case study house-type.
Louis Penfield House. Frank Lloyd Wright. The journey begins here...
Silvia Consuelo House. Constru Casa. The journey continues here...
Mas que todo, quiero dar gracias a Dios por esta oportunidad de explorar creatividad como una manera de ayudar a nuestros hermanos y nuestras hermanas de Guatemala.
